My only real complaint with this headset is the mute/chat switch in the talkback Cable which connects the X31 or X41 headset mic to the controller for XBOX LIVE chat.The design makes it nearly impossible to tell whether the switch is in mute or talk position.Some people don’t mind this,but I have a problem with accidently screaming “colorful metaphors” while playing;so this is an issue for me.Good luck trying to adjust the switch without getting killed in the proccess.
Despite these issues,this is truly a great headset you will love hearing through.
The Turtle Beach X31 wireless headset is a great value for the money,and will improve both your kill death ratio and your fun.

Hey guys. This is a short review of the xbox 360 Turtle Beach X3 Headset. Common problems that are clarified: Many people say there is a “hissing” sound when it is turned on. However, this occurs with all wireless headsets. It is basically showing there is a signal. It isn’t even noticeable when the volume is on. People saying the batteries run out shortly – they don’t. Second of all, the smartest thing to do is buy a rechargeable battery pack (4x AAA duracell 1.5v). You can alternate 2 batteries everytime one set dies. You will never run out. Plasma screen television transmit IR signals, so it will create a buzzing sound if you are too close. If you move the receiver to the side and keep your distance from the TV you can eliminate this. I personally had no problems with my LCD. The only complain I have is the ear wells are not deep enough. The lobe of your ear hits the inside of the speaker which is padded… but causes discomfort over a period of time. Overall this is a great product – is a must buy for nighttime gamers or RB/GH players. EXTRA: I found out the IR receiver for the X3 works with the X4. This means you can go to www.turtlebeach.com and buy “replacement parts” separately. If you buy the X3 receiver, it is 40 dollars. Replacement X4 Headphones are 70 dollars. A replacement mic boom for the X4 is 7.95. This means you can have the quality of the upgraded X4′s for 120 dollars. The most expensive thing in the X4 box is the receiver which only gives HDMI output …

In this video is the unboxing of my new Turtle Beach X1 Headset. These headsets are noise canceling and provide sorround sound right to your ears. It alows you to ear in game content and Xbox Live Chat at the same time. These are great when your playing Halo 3, Cod4, Gears, etc. Your able to hear footsteps from the opposite team from far away also. If your interested in these headsets, you can find them at Best Buy or Turtlebeach.com. There , and are not wireless. They have a wire that reached from the back of the Tv to the headset. They have the X3′s which are and are wireless from the Tv, so you only have a cable running to your 360 Remote. And finally they have the X4′s which are wireless with a very good transmitter. My brief review of the Turtle Beach X4 Headset. i will try to answer any questions below in the Description: Q&A: Can i use the headset with the PS3/PC? ANSWER: YES, as long as something has a digital audio output OR the Red and White audio ports it will work. HOWEVER, only the microphone will work with the 360 How’s the Battery Life? ANSWER: i havent exactly clocked how long it lasts, but i want to say about 6-8 hours. just get a 4 pack of rechargable AAA batteries and you will be set. QUESTION: do they plug up to the controller like the X3? Answer: the only thing you have to plug into the controller is the microphone plugin that i show at :45 Question: can i use this along with a HDMI calbe? Answer: yea you can still use the hdmi cable. there’s a separate cable that was supposed to come with the HDMI cable that lets you hook up your audio cables separately.
